Peak season will definitely make this town more lively with more shops open. We came during early April, and the beaches are empty (which could be great if you prefer to keep the beach to yourself). The drive around the island is interesting as most roads are narrow with hills. Recommend to go with the full insurance option if it's not expensive as precocious. One suggestion for improvement would be to seek recommendations from the property representatives for renting a motorbike, as this may lead to more cost-effective options compared to direct rental. I would advocate staying in a place like this during the majority of your stay as it is so well located and then one of the 5 star hotels for chill days. The hotel itself is about 10 minutes walk and is located up from Mykonos Town on a steep hill.. expect a 10-15 minute walk into town.
