This is a grand old house that is best described as well lived in. Needs a bit of updating. The pool needs some attention. Not at all inviting. I don’t understand why they don’t just get an expert in to give it a thorough clean without doing it themselves.
The staff are wonderful.

If you want stunning views and great wine, coffee and food visit Ernie Els Winery.
The property is on the top floor of a small building housing professional offices so it is amazingly quiet. It is the ONLY residential part of the building. Parking is exceptionally convenient and secure in the underground garage. The location is steps from Dorf Street, one of the most vibrant in Stellenbosch. The apartment is tastefully furnished and the kitchen well-outfitted. Although we were there in winter (August) it is very light given the expanse of windows.
The hotel was modern and sleek.
The facilities of the hotel are great. We had a wine tasting included and there was a discount on massages.
We also played golf at the range which was included.
The gym and pool have everything one needs and is very clean. Our room was cleaned twice a day.
Our highlight was the wine tasting as the staff there was very knowledgeable and friendly.
We also loved the screening room, which we got to book for a night to watch a movie.
Stellenbosch Manor is a very nice and pleasant hotel, in the old Victorian style. The manor is lovely, the rooms was really large and equipped with airco and all the needs. The garden is a very calm and relaxed area to start your day with a lovely breakfast. The staff is so welcoming and warm, the absolutely made our stay very pleasant. The location of the manor is perfect to explore Stellenbosch Centre, or visit Winehouses in Stellenbosch or Franschhoek.
I was originally booked into the self catering section which does not have Wifi on load shedding which was a problem as i had to work. The staff were exceptional in moving me into the hotel so i could work comfortably. The parking of hte hotel is a real problem. can accommodate 5 very small cars at a push and is not well signposted at all. Ask the staff to stand outside the hotel and show you how to get into the parking.
The breakfast was adequate. The location was fine, away from the town but close enough to shops and central Stellenbosch.
Grateful to have been allowed to use the venue for a photoshoot at no extra charge.
The grounds are very well kept and are beautiful.
Lots to do, pool, clean and large, and mini golf, braai and kitchen facilities if you want to just relax on the property.
Most incredible hotel from start to finish. The staff are so kind and welcoming. The hotel grounds are presented so beautifully with incredible views. The rooms are very spacious and very well decorated. Breakfast is delicious with lots of personal options. Great location for getting around Stellenbosch! Had the most wonderful time and definitely will be back.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in for a very long time. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the staff were lovely, the facilities were excellent and the breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend and will definitely book again if we make our way through Stellenbosch again. Could not fault anything! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Location, location, location !!!! The apartment had everything one needs for self catering, comfortable beds and gas stove for boiling water during load shedding. Couldn’t ask for a better location - in the heart of central Stellenbosch and within a few steps from great restaurants, shops and coffee shops.
Very cosy boutique hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is excellent, and there is a large garden with a small pool to chill at. The hotel is located in a very quiet and safe neighbourhood, within walking distance of the centre of Stellenbosch (roughly 20 minutes).
