The best overnight stay we had in South Africa! we had actually booked the smaller accommodation for two people, but plumbing work was taking place there - so that we got an upgrade to the main house. both the house and the park in which it is located were wonderful. The departure was very difficult for us and I can only recommend it to everyone! :-)

Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge is situated on the western boundary of the Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park. The lodge boasts a spa, outdoor swimming pool and restaurant. The staff and service were exceptional. Stunning views and gorgeous lodge. Our guide Celeewe was amazing. We saw Lion cheetah elephant and rhino along with all the other smaller creatures. Loved it!

But most importantly the hospitality of the owners, Jenny and Gavin, was absolutely amazing. They took us in like we were part of their family. They are taking very good care of their guests, preparing the perfect meals even taking into account any complicated allergies, sharing their stories and we had a lot of fun together. I would recommend Wendy’s country lodge to everybody coming to South Africa and this will be the first place I book when I’m visiting South Africa again. Winner of Africa's Leading Luxury Lodge at the 2013 World Travel Awards, Thanda Safari brings man and nature together on a 14 000 hectare access-controlled private game reserve. Everything was exceptional and beyond what we expected in terms of accommodations and service. Tents were very well designed. All staff were so professional and attentive. Game drives were awesome. Food and drinks were delicious.

The location was superb, the house is located in a small game farm but very private. We didn't even get a glimpse of any of the other houses on the farm. The views over the KZN bushveld were fantastic and animals roam close to the verandah of the house.
